Dear WORLD,

Allow me to kindly educate you about proper purchasing. Since I have worked a register at a semi-fast food establishment, worked customer service at a music store, waited tables, and now work a register at what is more or less a glorified candy stand (which I love), I think I have the qualifications.
A) Do NOT just lay your money down on the edge of the counter closest to you and expect me to reach over and get it up. This is incredibly rude. If you can take the time to pick out your item, you can take the time to politely place your money in my hand.
B) Just because I am working this job does not mean I'm not serious about schoolwork, nor does it mean I have no plans to finish school. Most likely, if I am working on-campus, I am also a student.
C) It's fine if you pay with a lot of coins, just don't lay the coins out on the counter and then look at me while I pick them up, one by one.
D) If I have to smile and be nice at 8 AM, so do you.
E) I don't have all the answers, regardless of what the banner over my head says. I can help you find them, but it might take me a few minutes. Just because I work here does not mean I've been all over the campus. I'm a liberal arts major. We tend to stick to our one building.

I know there are more things, those are just my present complaints.

LET'SSEEWHATELSEWE'VEGOT.

Visiting Kim and David was every bit as beautiful and amazing and brilliant as I had imagined, and even more so. There were flowers and swirls of colors and blinding happiness and the beach! and wonderful times. I miss having that kind of bond with another female human being. Sean is truly my best friend and the person who knows the most about me, but things are different between women, especially in our case. It's good to know we can survive basically everything. And we are masters of all the games!

Other than that, it's a slow news day, folks. Rupbert Murdoch bought Dow Jones and, effectively, the Wall Street Journal. I am not as deeply upset about this as Sean is, but I do think it's incredibly awful that one man owns so much of the media. But since pretty much every media outlet says the same thing ANYWAY, I guess it doesn't matter.

Yay Im so glad you checked out my blog and that you blog too! Im adding you to my "good reads" list if you dont mind...that way its easier for me to click over to your blog. I love blogging too...its almost addictive so I try not to spend *too* much time doing it.

Thanks for the compliments on my work, too sweet! And I know what you mean about the bonding between females...I miss that too. I havent really connected with any girls on that level out here in Florence, but I guess that makes seeing the close girly friends even that much more special.

Happy August!
